I despise Seinfeld. I mention this in a sort of apologist way because I'm going to reference one of the two or three episodes I've seen. At the very end of said episode, Elaine says to the old guy (George's father?) "I'll drop you like a bag of dirt.". Might this have been the origin of this phrase?
